Hi there. I'm Malaysian. I'm of Chinese descendant. Honestly fasting is not that hard. Basically you don't eat and drink at all from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., just a mere 15 hours fasting. (I think the 30 hours fasting is so much challenging) You only really struggle the first week. The rest is just easy like a piece of cake. No eating is really an easy task, no drinking at all especially even plain drinking water is forbidden during fasting is damn hard but if you thrive the first week with all the determination, the rest comes super easy. But after I tried the fasting for 2 weeks, I suddenly realize so many Muslim friends are having severe gastritis issues, and then I conclude, fasting actually a high risk activity to destroy a person's stomach, and I seriously hate the taste of the gastritis medicine, just like gulping rubber or swallowing rubber, such icky taste. Yucks! Since then I never attempt fasting ever again, because I need a gastritis-free stomach, though I have like 2 people who I know are Muslims who are free of gastritis but Muslim with gastritis is so much larger number which is insane. Because in my Chinese friend community I only know like 1 people with gastritis problem but seriously rarely see others? Anyway during the Ramadhan month, I would still eating but most probably out of the Muslims' sight for better humanity. Cheers
